August Satva Series
Prakriti & Vikriti: Balanced Doshas vs Imbalanced Doshas
Your Prakriti is the unique doshic blueprint you were born with โ fixed, unchanging, the truest expression of your nature. Your Vikriti is your current state of balance or imbalance, shaped by diet, lifestyle, season, and stress. This session teaches you how to distinguish the two, why the difference matters in daily life and clinically, and how to begin reading your own constitution through physical, mental, and behavioral patterns.
What You Can Expect to Learn
The Core Definitions: Understand the fundamental difference between your Prakriti (your innate, unchanging doshic blueprint) and your Vikriti (your current state of balance or imbalance).
The Impact of Environment: Discover how everyday factors like diet, lifestyle, changing seasons, and stress directly shape your current state of well-being.
Practical Application: Learn why distinguishing between these two states is crucial for both your daily wellness routines and clinical understanding.
Self-Assessment Techniques: Gain the skills to begin reading and evaluating your own constitution by recognizing specific physical, mental, and behavioral patterns.
The Architecture of Backbending
Join us for a transformative 3-hour immersion into The TS Method: Backbending, Talia Sutraโs three-step approach that has elevated and transformed the practice for thousands worldwide.
SATVA SERIES; JUNE 2026
Exploring Subdoshas, Dhatus, and Malas
Join me this June for a deeper exploration into the subtle and structural architecture of the body through the lens of Ayurveda. Building on our foundational understanding of the doshas, this session will break down three vital components of your holistic health:
Subdoshas: Moving beyond the basic expressions of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. We will explore how these specific, localized energies govern particular functions in your mind and body, from the beating of your heart to the digestion of your food and daily experiences.
Dhatus (The Seven Tissues): Understand the fundamental building blocks of your physical form. We'll trace the journey of nourishment from plasma (Rasa) all the way to our deepest vitality (Shukra), learning how the health of one tissue layer sustains the next.
Malas (Waste Products): Learn why what we eliminate is just as important as what we consume. We will discuss the body's natural detoxification pathways and how to interpret your body's waste as crucial indicators of internal balance.
This class is for all levels, but some foundational understand of what Ayurveda is will be beneficial.
SATVA SERIES; MAY 2026
Introduction to Ayurveda
Ayurveda is often simplified into diet tips or dosha quizzes, but its foundation is far more precise. It is a structured system of medicine rooted in observing patterns in the body, mind, and environment.
In this introductory session, we will return to the core principles that Ayurveda is built upon. We will explore its historical context as a traditional system of medicine, and then move into the fundamental frameworks that guide all Ayurvedic assessment and treatment.
We will begin with the concept of the Pancamahabhutas, or the five elements, and how they manifest in both the natural world and the human body. From there, we will examine the Tridosha model, understanding Vata, Pitta, and Kapha not as personality labels, but as functional principles that govern physiology.
This class is designed to give you a clear and accurate foundation so that Ayurveda feels less abstract and more applicable to your daily experience.
In this session, you will:
Understand the historical and clinical roots of Ayurveda
Learn the five elements and how they express in the body
Gain a grounded understanding of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha
Begin to recognize patterns in your own digestion, energy, and symptoms
This class is well suited for anyone who is new to Ayurveda, or for those who have encountered it before but want a more structured and reliable understanding.
